19 Questions Tag | My first video!

So this was a bit weird to make. Lol It was fun, don't get me wrong! It's just weird recording something like this and posting it. I started making videos when I was about 16, but I just kept them for myself as a personal video journal and as of late, I've wanted to venture into making YouTube videos maybe. I'm not too sure what kind of videos I'll be making, but I thought this was a good place to start, as it may help introduce me a bit. I know that if I receive any feedback at all, it won't all be good, but honestly, just like all the other videos I've made in the past several years, these are for me and my friends simply because I like making them and if anyone else happens to enjoy them, awesome. :)

Ah, Young Love.

,
Courtesy of weheartit.com.
I'm sat here in the library at school doing some studying and a boy walked up to the table in front of me where a girl was sitting alone, completely enraptured by whatever she was reading, and he sat down and kissed her on the cheek. When she looked up at him, she had the biggest smile in the world and I couldn't help but smile as well. I love seeing people in love sometimes, it makes me think of the love that I've felt before. It's the kind of love that makes your heart feel like it's about to burst and makes you smile for no reason and gives you butterflies. (Cheesey, I know!) When you can see the love two people have for each other, it truly is a very beautiful thing.

"Let Me Tell You About My Body" Questions from Tumblr

I was going through my Tumblr dash since today is the day that I don't have my next class till 7 and I came across a survey type thing and it sounded interesting, plus I'm bored. Haha So here goes. And also, I got this from rememberingclaraoswald.

Thought I'd add a photo so that this post doesn't look too awfully plain. Haha
This was taken by my beautiful friend, Lindsey, back in February.
Dress and Shoes: Target

Hair: What hair color looks best on you and what's your natural color?
Well, apart from some blonde on the tips, I've never properly dyed my hair, although I'd like to find a color that suits me. My natural color is black.

Skin: Do you tan easily?

Yes, but not as easily as I used to.

Eyes: What is your favorite show to watch?

Ooo, I know this is a bit of a cop out, but I can't just choose one. I love Supenautral, Skins, The Hills, old school cartoons. :)

Nose: What is your favorite perfume/candle fragrance?

I don't know too many candles, but I think my favorite perfume that I've actually owned is Michael Kors Very Hollywood.

Mouth: Do you want to kiss anyone right now?

Always.

Tongue: What was in your last meal?

Chicken, tortilla, and cheese.

Windpipe: Do you sing?

Yes, however, it's debatable if I'm actually good or not. Lol

Neck: Do you wear necklaces?

No, although I'd like to start again.

Ears: How many piercings do you have (if any)?

One on each ear. I used to have an industrial on my right ear, but that didn't work out for too long. I've been thinking about getting my tragus pierced.

Cheeks: Do you blush easily?

Not in an embarrassed way, but I get a flush when I'm hot or active very easily.

Wrists: Have you ever broken a bone?

Nope.

Hands: Are you an artist/writer?
I'm a writer, yes.

Fingers: Do you play an instrument?

I play a little bit of guitar.

Heart: Are you in love? If so, does the one you love know?

Pretty positive I am, actually. Yes, he knows.

Lungs: Do you smoke cigarettes?

Yes.

Chest: Are your maternal/parental instincts strong?

I've been told they are.

Stomach: Do you feel confident in your body image?

I'm a fairly confident person, but I'm really not content with my body honestly.

Legs: Are you flexible?

Yes, I'd like to think so.

Hips: Do you like to dance?

I loveeee to dance. :)

Thighs: Has anyone ever called you ugly?

Yes.

Knees: Have you ever cheated on someone?

No, I've actually never been in a relationship.

Ankles: Have you ever been arrested?

No, thank God. Lol

Feet: Favorite pair of shoes?

Probably just a fresh pair of white Converse. :)

Mini "Drugstore Haul"

So last night I went to Walmart with my parents. Now, I know Walmart is not the swankiest of places, but there are a lot of really good products that are super affordable there. As a struggling student, that sounds good to me. Lol I got some new make up and new hair products that I'm super excited about so I thought I'd make a post about them all. :)

Milani Color Statement in 01 Sweet Nectar

Maybelline Color Whisper in Orange Attitude 40

Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 109

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfector
Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Deep Coral

Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Sun Kissed

Neutrogena Deep Moisture Day Cream

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

got2b Rockin' It Dry Shampoo

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Heat Protection Shine Spray

L'Oreal Power Moisture Hydrating Conditioner

Tresemme Tres Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray

Organix Moroccan Sea Salt Spray
  • Milani Color Statement in 01 Sweet Nectar - So this is a really bright orange color and it goes on really well, but I think it's a little too orange for me. I didn't think it would come out so opaque. It's pretty good quality and it smells nice, but the color just is a little too much for me, but I would consider buying a different color because the quality of the lipstick is pretty good for the price.
  • Maybelline Color Whisper in Orange Attitude 40 - I really love this color, it's a little bit sheer on my lips because my lips are kind of dark, but it definitely adds just the right touch of color. It's a bit greasy for my liking, but overall a good lip product that I can definitely see myself reaching for often. :)
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss in 109 - This is by far my favorite lipstick of the three! It's amazing quality and sooo affordable! It's a pale orange color and the pigmentation is so good and it's more of a matte finish, but it's not drying which I love. Plus it smells good. :) I will definitely be buying more from this line!
  • Maybelline Fit Me Blush in Deep Coral - So this looked like a gorgeous dark, coral color in the packaging, but when I put in on my cheeks, it wasn't very pigmented at all. After applying it 2 or 3 more times, it did show up a pretty pink, natural flushed color, I was just a bit disappointed that it wasn't as pigmented as I'd hoped. Maybe it's because I have slightly tanned skin, but honestly if it's a good quality blush, it shouldn't matter that much. Hopefully it'll grow on me.
  • Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in Sun Kissed - This nail polish is a bright orange (I know, clearly Zoe's love for orange is growing on me lol) and it goes on quite opaque and beautifully. We'll see how long it lasts without chipping.
  • L'Oreal Power Moisture Hydrating Conditioner - My hair's been a bit dry these days so I bought this in hopes it would help and I used this last night and just from that one use, I can already tell a difference! I'm looking forward to using this until it runs out as it seems to work quite well. :)
I re-purchased my Maybelline BB Cream and St. Ives Apricot Scrub because I love both of them so much and I ran out of them a few days ago and the other products, I have yet to try. I'm very excited to try them out though, especially the sea salt spray. :) If I end up developing a strong love for any of the above items that I haven't talked about yet, I will definitely write a little bit about whichever ones they are. :)

Last night I met up with some friends and I had a really, really good night! I got to see Nicole again and Dalton came as well and it was just really good to be together and laugh and have a good time. Dalton and I cracked up about more things than I can even remember and I just had an awesome time with two of my best friends in the whole world. <3 Plus it was lovely to see Dalton and have him spend the night because it was the first time we've seen each other in almost an entire week, which is the longest we've gone without seeing each other in quite a while. Haha

Make up from mummy :)

Yay for terrible webcam quality! Lol

Eye Shadow: Bottom two shades in the Chanel Les 4 Ombres 39 Raffinement Pallette (can't seem to find any individual names for the shades which I'm finding a bit annoying :()
Lipstick: L'Oreal Infallible 741 Bold Bordeaux

(Sorry about the slight cleavage shot :P)

Please do excuse the lighting making me look very washed out and plus the fact that I have absolutely no other make up on besides the eye shadows and lipstick. Lol I'm loving both products so I will most likely be doing a "review" of them within the next few days after I wear them a bit more.

Based on the time of the past two posts, I'm clearly quite the night owl unfortunately, an issue I've had for years. A bit random of me to post this now, but being the night owl that I am, I felt like experimenting a bit at 3am with the new make up from my mom that she didn't want. Haha Now to wash my face and off to bed (hopefully). Sweet dreams world. :)

My Most Worn Tag by Zoella :)

I thought this was a cool idea when I saw Zoe's post from ages ago the other day and since she said anyone that would like to take part could, I thought I'd go for it. :)

Nail Polish

I was given this Milani Nail Lacquer in Garnet Gems by my sister a while ago and it's been my favorite thing to have on my nails, no matter what season it is. :) I obviously have plenty of other nail polishes that I love, but this is definitely my go to. And the green bottle on the right is Sally Hansen Triple Strong Advanced Gel Nail Fortifier and it is literally the best base and top coat! As a base, it helps any polish last longer and as a top, it makes my nails so shiny with nail polish or not!

Lipstick

My Estee Lauder in Barely Nude cream lipstick is perfect for me. :) It has a very cream consistency and isn't overly glossy. The best part of this lipstick is that because I have fairly dark skin, regular nudes are too light for me, but this nude matches my skin tone perfectly.

Perfume

I'm very, very picky about perfumes so when I found the Michael Kors "Very Hollywood" a few years ago, I was so excited! Unfortunately, by the time I had gotten around to purchasing a new bottle, I couldn't find it anywhere! This bottle, however, is a similar scent and it is Michael Kors "Eau de Parfum Spray" and it does the job I think. It's a very fresh, floral scent, but is by no means overpowering (unless you spray on the entire bottle lol). As much as I love this, I would quite like to find "Very Hollywood" again now that I think about it.

Make Up

Again, I was given this Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfecter by my sister and I'm obsessed! It's my perfect color and it's just enough coverage, as I don't like to wear foundation very much. What I really love is that it doesn't dry out my dry spots, in fact it keeps them moisturized, and it does't make my oily spots worse.

I know, this is a super cheep-y product, but hey, isn't that kind of a plus? :) My Elf Translucent Matifying Powder is a godsend, not even joking. In combination with my BB cream, it makes me perfectly matte, but still healthy looking. I know some people might prefer a dewier finish, but besides my few dry spots, I'm already oily so matte products are preferred for me.

Rings

So I just bought this ring with Dalton (who helped me pay for it, thanks Dalt :)) about two weeks ago, but it's already a part of me. Lol It has barely left my hand! We were at a place called The Lab just shopping around for a dress for me and there was an adorable little cart/boutique thing that had so many amazing hand-made pieces that I had to come away with something! I absolutely love this ring because it's different than most rings I've seen in say H&M or Forever 21 and the artist who made it takes old, vintage broaches and turns them into rings! Love it! And it looks amazing when sunlight hits it. :)

This ring is from Forever 21 and originally it had white roses on it. I actually had two more (which both had the roses broken off as well), but one of them was lost a long time ago and the other I left with a very dear friend of mine. I've pretty much always worn it everyday (oddly, more so after the roses broke off), but ever since I left the other with my friend, I just can't seem to leave the house without mine. I suppose it just makes me feel a bit closer to him, wherever he is. I miss you loads Casey. <3

 Jacket

Once again, I bought this with Dalton about two weeks ago and I'm obsessed! I wear it literally whenever I can. Lol I've been wanting a camo jacket ever since last summer and just haven't been able to afford one or find one that fits properly and in Crossroads, I found this jacket in the men's section! I promise, on me it doesn't look like a men's jacket (I got Dalton's seal of approval! Lol)! It's by a company called The Berrics and I've never heard of them before, but I'm so glad I have now. :)

Dress

And last, but not least, the dress from Urban Outfitters that Dalton bought me at the Lab. :) I actually have a picture up of me wearing it in my OOTD that I posted a few days ago. Just like the two other items from The Lab, I've only had this for two weeks, but I absolutely love it! I've wanted a maxi dress for ages and this one is such good quality! So soft and so light-weight and flowy! And the best part, it was on sale for $30! Quite the bargain! I'm sure Dalton's wallet was happy that he didn't have to splash out too, too much. Lol

So there are my most worn items or things that are pretty much just now a staple of who I am. :)

The Beautiful Cher Lloyd

I have loved Cher Lloyd since last summer I believe (around the time I very surprisingly ended up becoming obsessed with One Direction which is how I found Cher lol) and I've missed this adorable and feisty little Brit these past few months! I haven't heard much from her as of late, but I'm assuming that has mostly to do with the fact that I haven't kept up with her so I was pleasantly surprised to see You Generation had done a wonderful interview with her. :) I just think she's very real and someone I could just chill out with ya know? Her music is so upbeat and makes me feel happy and I'm very excited for the new record, especially because I've always said as fun as her songs are, they don't showcase her amazing voice well enough. So very excited for that! :)

On another note, I'm feeling a bit better than I was earlier. The feeling hasn't really gone away, but at least I've got my lovely laptop to keep me distracted. Lol Hopes for a brighter day tomorrow! :)

It's like I'm sleepwalking.

So today just feels very odd. I woke up later than I hoped I would so I ended up rushing to my first class of the day and in that class, which I usually really enjoy, I paid little to no attention. My next class isn't until 7 tonight, so after I ate some lunch, I've been trying to find a good spot to do some studying. I've bounced around to two or three different spots so far and I think I've finally settled on a spot on one of the lawn chairs the school has placed on the grass. It's a nice little peaceful spot and I usually love it, but I still can't really seem to focus on my studies which is why I'm writing this. I've just got this strange feeling...I assumed at first that I'm just tired, but it feels different than that.

I've been feeling a touch lonely the past two days and I think what I'm feeling now is a carry-over of that. Even the night Dalton slept over, I felt quite lonely...now that I think about it, that was actually the first night I started feeling like this.  Ugh, it's just such an odd feeling. Honestly, I wasn't able to place what it was until I started playing Bring Me The Horizon's record, Sempiternal (which is an incredible album that I've been obsessed with for the past few months :)), and "Sleepwalking" started playing. I was attempting to read my Art Theory book, but the the lyrics struck me; "My secrets are burning a whole through my heart and my bones catch a fever. When it cuts you up this deep, it's hard to find a way to breathe....Time stood still the way it did before. It's like I'm sleepwalking....I'm at the edge of the world. Where do I go from here? Do I disappear?" That's when I was able to peg the feeling...so weird.

Super random post, but I just needed to get my thoughts out of my head.

PS - Check out Sempiternal by Bring Me The Horizon if you haven't already and they happen to be your cuppa. :)

Zoella and Joey Graceffa - British Slang :)

I was watching this video for about the hundredth time a minute ago and it's just so damn hilarious, I thought I'd share for those of you who haven't seen it. :) This is Zoe, the lovely girl I've talked about in previous posts, and another hilarious and adorable YouTuber named Joey Graceffa. Enjoy!

Dog Pound

Hello, hello! :) So I said in my previous post that I'd do a review of "Dog Pound". This won't really be a review, now that I think about it, but more of just what I thought cause I loved it that much. Haha So the other night, Dalton was spending the night as he does and I had found a movie on Netflix called "Dog Pound" a few days before and started watching it with him. I didn't really expect anything of it, good or bad, the poster just intrigued me. The very first scene is um...interesting, but the character, Butch's introduction is amazing! Just from his facial expressions he says so much! And to be honest, that's how the whole film went for me. All the actors were absolutely brilliant, but Adam Butcher who plays Butch steals the spotlight for me (and Dalton as well! :)). He had the least lines in the entire film, but he had the most character out of anyone! He just has this intense look on his face and just everything about him is just so...intense! That's the best word to describe it! Dalton and I loved him the whole time and I was just waiting for him to be in a scene every time he wasn't. Lol Such a great film! I'm clearly not a movie reviewer, but the gist of this is "Dog Pound" is an awesome movie and Adam Butcher is a very talented actor! It's probably not everyone's cup o' tea (especially because of the violence and some really heart-wrenching and disgusting scenes) but I really do advise anyone to check it out. :)

OOTD and Catching Up With Nicolie Polie Olie!

Simple hair and make up today.

Vest: Old Navy $30 I believe
Maxi Dress: Urban Outfitters on sale for $30 from $60
(Thank you to my wonderful, amazing best friend, Dalton, for this dress! <3)

And also just a quick little thing about the day, I was dressed to meet up for coffee with my beautiful friend, Nicole! We've not seen each other in about four months, so it was so lovely to see her and catch up and talk about life and just everything! Definitely made my day. :) And to top off the day, Dalton just got to my house and hopefully we'll find another amazing movie on Netflix. (There will be a review tomorrow of the movie "Dog Pound" that we found on there which was incredible!)

Hope the day's been wonderful! :)

Just a bit about me. :)

Hello! :)

The most recent (presentable lol) picture of me (on the right) with my lovely friends, Laurel and Brad who are expecting their beautiful baby girl at the end of this month! :)

I find it a bit ironic, that I'm saying "hello" and I literally have no idea if anyone is going to read this, but hello none the less. Lol My name's Reynna and I'm 20 years old, turning 21 this year on the 15th December. Yay! I live in California with my parents who, after being separated since I was 16, got back together earlier in the year. I have an older sister who is 28 that I love to death (don't know where I'd be without her) and a 31 year old half-brother on my dad's side who lives back in New Jersey where I was born; unfortunately we haven't spent much time together since I was 3 years old but we speak regularly. I just started my first real semester at community college a month ago and I couldn't be more excited to finally be in school! The past two years have been a roller coaster and school just never really fit into the equation, apart from a single class I took last year. I'm currently undecided about what my major will be so right now I'm just taking 12 units of transferable classes with a possibility of majoring in English (Creative Writing) or Psychology (Drug counseling) in mind.

I'm a very chilled out kind of person, but I can get really goofy at times especially with my friends. I love my friends to bits and I wouldn't be where I am now without them and some of the friends in particular whom I'm sure you'll end up reading about in the future are Dalton, Heather, and Sebastian. <3 I also spend a lot of time reading, writing, drinking coffee, and watching a lot of Netflix (once in a blue moon, you'll find an incredible movie among the sea of crap that is on there lol) and A LOT of YouTube. I watch a lot of British YouTubers (Zoella, Alfie Deyes, etc.) and British television and films as I've been obsessed with British people and British culture since I was about 8 so if it seems like at times, I pick up some vocabulary that sounds a bit like I'm trying to sound British, I promise it's only because it's such a habit at this point. I'd like to make a huge shout out to Zoe Sugg (who I've mentioned in the past two posts) because she's pretty much the only reason I finally started a blog on here and in all honesty, a lot of my post ideas are probably going to come from her blog. I'm already aware of this, so please don't feel the need to tell me "Your blog is too much like Zoella's!" Lol Thank you kindly! :)

Judge me if you'd like for this next bit, but a huge part of who I am, which I'm sure will come out eventually so best to get it out of the way now, is that I am a recovering addict. As I said above, the past two years have been a roller coaster and that is because I've struggled with my addiction for those two years. About four months ago, I finally told my parents (which was one of the hardest things I've ever done) that I needed help and then I got into treatment. I was part of an outpatient program (a program where I did not stay over night at all) for two months and finally graduated my program about two months ago. I struggled a bit with relapses from the time I got into treatment, only staying clean for no more than a week, but I have now been clean for 23 days as of today which is the longest time of being clean that I've had in about a year. If anyone reading this (if there is anyone reading this) has a problem with addiction or knows someone who does, please get help or even contact me if you'd like and we can talk because this isn't something someone should go at alone.

I look forward to writing on here more and getting to express myself freely and hopefully I'll get to know some new people from here perhaps. Goodnight world and I'll see you tomorrow! :)

6 Products I Couldn't Live Without Tag

So as I said in the earlier post, I've been watching Zoella's YouTube channel and reading her blog for years, but I was going through a bunch of her old posts and she did this tag and since I have no idea how to start blogging on here and she tagged anyone that hasn't done this I thought I'd have a go at it. :) My "6 products" are ever changing, but these are items I have loved for years or currently use at least twice a day.

  1. The Body Shop Ginger Scalp Care - This shampoo is incredible! It moisturized my scalp and hair overall and it smells so good. :) This is definitely for you if a dry scalp is a problem, like it is for me. I've only purchased it once and I've been meaning to re-purchase it ever since I started running low, but unfortunately I still have yet to get a new bottle. However, the next chance I get, I will be heading over to The Body Shop to re-purchase. :)
  2. Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Stress Control Triple Action Toner - In all honesty, my skin care routine for the past two years has been complete crap. Basically, all my skin care routine consisted of was my Neutrogena foaming cleanser and my St. Ives Apricot scrub because I never felt the need to make much of a fuss about my skin because thankfully, it was always pretty good. A week ago, however, I decided that even though my skin happens to be in good condition, I should probably still do a bit more to take care of it, so I purchased this toner. As far as I can tell, its great so far and my face always feels refreshed after I use it. I will say this: if you tend to have dry skin, I probably wouldn't recommend this (or make sure you use a proper moisturizer.)
  3. Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive Skin Cream - I have combination skin, so the sides of my mouth and my nose tend to get very dry, but my forehead is usually a bit oily and this moisturizer works very well for me. It moisturizes the areas I need it to, without adding an oily look to my entire face. It especially helps now that I've been using the Neutrogena toner.
  4. L'Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream Deep - BB creams already have a light coverage, but this one in particular has very light coverage, which I like on most days with a bit of concealer. I also love the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB 8-in-1 Beauty Balm Skin Perfecter Medium/Deep for days that I want a bit more coverage without using a foundation. Definitely really love these two, especially not being a huge fan of foundations...or maybe I just haven't found a foundation that works well for me. Suggestions please? :)
  5. Revlon Colorstay Under Eye Concealer Light/Medium - This concealer is perfect! I, luckily, don't really have under eye circles or bags, but if I'm looking a bit tired or something, this brightens up my eyes so well! I know it says "under eye", but I also use it for my spots (redness, acnes scars, etc) and it also does wonders for those. Combined with one of the above BB creams, its all I need to wear really. :)
  6. Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - I've been obsessed with liquid eye liners and gel lineres for years now and I've noticed that this gel liner doesn't run or smudge nearly as much as other things I've tried, especially on a night out. I love it especially for when I'm going out and doing a cat-eye or, as my friends like to say, my "bat wings" because I make the wing a bit more dramatic than most. Haha
There you have it, my 6 products I couldn't live with out! Well I wouldn't like to anyway. :)

Hello Internet! :)

So I've had a Tumblr blog for 5 years now, but I have finally decided to create one of these after going through all of Zoella's blog posts over again. Haha (I've been a fan of hers for a few years now and if you don't know who she is, check out her YouTube channel and blog because she's amazing.) I hope to get some good use out of this and look forward to writing my random thoughts and experiences and what have you. :)
